Yoga

In April, 2015, I received my 200 Hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Certification, with intensive training in the study and practice of asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy and anatomy as they pertain to yoga class design. Yoga has been a life-changing experience for me, and I frequently incorporate the wisdom into my therapy where relevant and welcomed. Specifically, I find it most useful to locate one's center. "Center" is not the exact same place for any two people, and since women are so highly changeable due to fluctuations in hormones and neurotransmitters, we need to define our center to understand our optimal place of functioning. It's where we are at our best and most content selves. If we know how to return to that place, we don't have to be as rocked when - not if - we stray on a regular basis.
